About Kara T. Porter
Kara T. Porter is an emerging creative producer committed to bringing culturally meaningful stories to stage and screen. Raised in Sacramento and shaped by HBCU pride and artistry, Kara uses her background in Mass Communications, Public Relations, and Dance to lead projects with clarity, creativity, and purpose.
Kara’s experience spans writing for Rocket Mortgage, designing media strategies for Genesis Church, and producing visual storytelling that connects communities. Guided by storytellers like Ryan Coogler, Kara is building a career dedicated to representation, impact, and the power of authentic narratives.
Currently pursuing her M.S. in Television, Radio & Film at Syracuse University, she’s continuing to refine her voice as a producer, director, and development creative, crafting stories that make every audience feel seen.
